Interested PTSA members can apply to participate in the Sacramento Safari, involving a trip to Sacramento for meetings with State legislators and education leaders to discuss current issues in K-12 education.  Similarly, the PTSA sponsors an annual expense-paid Student Sacramento Trip for students from each of Irvine's high schools, coordinated through the Irvine Unified School District. Questions can be directed to Mrs. Kelly, Uni PTSA Legislative Action representative at mjkellynp@gmail.com.

Each One Teach One

Each One Teach One is a volunteer, parent-based initiative designed to help integrate our wonderfully diverse cultural community into high school life.  Uni Parents wishing to share their experiences -- and Uni parents needing a little help to understand and navigate American high school life -- come together and learn from one another.  We are actively seeking parents to participate, and are especially in need of parents with second language skills willing to serve as a resource to others. Please contact Chhavi Chawla at cgabac@gmail.com for more information.

PTSA-Sponsored and Supported Events

The PTSA is proud to host an annual Teacher Appreciation luncheon for Uni High School teachers and staff, as well as an annual series of Counselor Coffees organized for each grade level.  New this year will be a holiday potluck and end of year dessert social. The PTSA also provides help and support at a variety of school-sponsored events, such as Registration in late Summer,  8th Grade Family Night in the Spring, the Trojan Spirit Breakfast, and STAR testing.
